Our Superheroes post 1

4/2/2008 "The continuing adventures of Sponge Man episode 2"

Sal Monilla pays a visit
As Sponge Man left his house he could feel the presence of Sal Monilla. It was a feeling in his gut that told him he was close by and up to no good... but where?? Where will he strike? Sponge Man just wasn't certain. He hopped in his car (the Sponge-mobile... more later about the Sponge-mobile) and drove downtown. He knew Sal would most likely attack a restaurant. But, which one? Where? When? Sponge Man had many questions. He thought to himself... if I were Sal, where would I strike? He started to break it down... he most likely will try to affect as many people as possible. He would also attack where there is easy access. Ha!! It has to be a buffet. And a large one. A popular one. He began to narrow it down. As he drove by "The Great Wall", the feeling in his gut grew stronger! He knew Sal was close by. He crossed 2 lanes of traffic in rush and hopped the curb into the Great Wall parking lot. Sponge Man was in a hurry. Cursing motorists did not understand why. But, Sponge Man knew. And he knew time was of the essence. Stay tuned...

"The continuing adventures of Sponge Man episode 1"

As Sponge Man lay awake in his soap dish one morning, he wondered what the day would bring. Would he help some poor innocent child from picking something up off a dirty floor and putting it in his/her mouth? Would he be called to visit a local restaurant and wipe the kitchen clean while giving a workshop on the merits of "cleanliness in the workplace"? He couldn't wait to begin the day.

Not wanting to waste anymore time he hopped down from his soap dish and right into the sink making one fast whirl around and scrubbing away any germs that may have developed over the night. Or course, Sponge Man always has the cleanest sink in the world. What else would you expect?

He turned the water on, bathed himself in antibacterial soap, wrung himself out and hopped in the microwave setting it for 3 minutes making sure to kill any bacteria on himself. He hopped out and did a couple of back flips and danced toward the front door when he saw a menacing sign in the sky. It was the clear vision that only Sponge Man can see and he didn't like it either. It was the sign of his greatest nemesis; Sal Monilla. He knew his day had changed. The battle had just begun. Stay tuned...

McLean's Superhero

Nickel's Superhero

Able to leap small, very small, toys in a single hop, able to stop a speeding child, ready to fight runny noses, I am Crutch Man. Masquerading as a mild mannered, teacher with decaying bones, Crutch Man, is able to use his superpowers to call his crutches to his side with a single fall and will suit up in a cast or walking boot (instead of tights) whenever the MRI says so. On his crutches he can defeat any villain in a game of hop-scotch or race through a children's toy obstacle course. As Crutch Man I am able to turn off lights from a distance of five feet, close doors, or even kill spiders on the ceiling without a chair. When you need him he is there, or will be soon, or at least at some point, or as quickly as his crutches will allow.

3/14 Update

Mr. A's Superhero

My superhero is Sponge Man. Sponge Man is related to "Sponge Bob Square Pants" but he has unique abilities in fighting the spread of germs and disease in kitchens and bathrooms! Sponge man circles the world looking for public restrooms and filthy restaurant kitchens. Sponge man swoops in and cleans/disinfects the soiled area saving many people from the dreaded spread of bacteria and possible illness. Next time you are in a restaurant or public restroom look for Sponge Man to come and save you from the spread of disease and food-borne illness.

Yea Sponge Man!!!
